Maybe a question that should be asked is "What's the endgame for TV

contracts?" Is it possible the endgame is to look like something very similar to what is currently being used "across the pond?" Is the EPL, Championship League, League One, League Two, National League, etc. really that different then the ACC, Big Ten, Big XII, Pac-12, or SEC? Yes, it may require time for people to get comfortable with this new way of doing things. However, if schools are able to make more money using this approach than the current approach, then why wouldn't they go for it? If schools want to continue maintaining their current academic relationships, then there is nothing preventing an athletic conference from becoming a strictly academic conference.
